Govt Plans Tk 7.9 Lakh Crore Budget for FY 2025-26, Reducing Spending by Tk 7,000 Crore
The government has announced a budget target of Tk 7.90 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting a reduction of Tk 7,000 crore from the current year’s spending plan.
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan disclosed this information in a post on his verified Facebook account, noting that the interim administration wants to pursue a more conservative budget. The goal is to support macroeconomic stability and curb inflation.
Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed is scheduled to officially present the FY 2025-26 national budget to the public tomorrow.
