ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা নবাব স্যার সলিমুল্লাহর ১৫৩তম জন্মবার্ষিকী অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নিয়ে নব্বইয়ের দশকের জনপ্রিয় চিত্রনায়ক নাঈম বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দাবি উত্থাপন করেন। নবাব পরিবারের বংশধর হিসেবে নাঈমের এসব দাবি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ ইতিবাচকভাবে গ্রহণ করেছে বলে জানা গেছে।

দাবি ও অনুষ্ঠান

২৪ জুন সলিমুল্লাহ মুসলিম হলে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে নাঈম বলেন, ‘৭ জুন নবাব স্যার সলিমুল্লাহর জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ ১৫৩তম জন্মবার্ষিকী উদযাপন করেছে। বংশধর হিসেবে আমরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে উপস্থিত ছিলাম এবং নবাব সলিমুল্লাহর অবদানের যথাযথ স্বীকৃতির দাবিতে আমাদের মতামত পেশ করি। এই দাবিগুলো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদেরও জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। কর্তৃপক্ষ আন্তরিকভাবে এগুলো গ্রহণ করেছেন।’

নবাব সলিমুল্লাহর অবদান স্মরণীয় করে রাখা

নাঈমের দাবির মূল কথা ছিল ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং দেশের উচ্চশিক্ষা ও মুসলিম সমাজের উন্নয়নে নবাব সলিমুল্লাহর অবদান স্মরণীয় এবং সম্মানিত করার ব্যবস্থা করা। তিনি বলেন, ‘বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ এসব দাবি গ্রহণ করেছে, যা অত্যন্ত উৎসাহব্যঞ্জক।’

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা

নাঈম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসন, অনুষ্ঠান পরিচালনা করা ছাত্র-ছাত্রীসহ সকলকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে বলেন, ‘এত সুন্দর আয়োজনের জন্য আমরা সবাই কৃতজ্ঞ।’

নবাব সলিমুল্লাহর অবদান

উল্লেখ্য, নবাব স্যার সলিমুল্লাহ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেন। তিনি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য জমি দান করেন এবং ব্রিটিশ সরকারের কাছে ঢাকায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার দাবিতে সক্রিয় ভূমিকা রাখেন। ১৯২০ সালে ‘ঢাকা ইউনিভার্সিটি অ্যাক্ট’ পাশ করাতে তার অবদান স্মরণীয়।

National University Opens On-Campus Admission for 2024–25

National University (NU) has officially announced the admission circular for its on-campus undergraduate programmes for the 2024–2025 academic year. The announcement was made via a press release on 25 June 2025.

Application Timeline and Test Date

Online applications will be open from 26 June at 4:00 PM to 31 July 2025 at 11:59 PM. The admission test is scheduled to be held on 5 September 2025.

How to Apply

Applicants must visit the official National University admission website to complete the online form. An application fee of BDT 1,000 must be paid using the NU online payment gateway or via pay-slip.

After successful payment, candidates should download and print the application form by 7 August 2025.

NU Honours Admission Test 2025 Result

460,706 Students Pass National University Honours Admission Test 2024–2025

In a significant academic update, the National University of Bangladesh has announced the results of the Honours first-year admission test for the 2024–2025 academic session. A total of 460,706 students have successfully passed the test.

Test Reintroduced After Nearly a Decade

This year’s admission test was held on 31 May 2025 across nearly 300 centres nationwide. It marked the return of entrance exams for Honours programs after almost 10 years.

Result Highlights

Out of 560,595 candidates who appeared in the exam:

• 460,706 students passed (Pass mark: 35%)
• 33.28% scored above 50%
• 66.72% scored below 50%

First Merit List Announced

A total of 265,364 candidates have been placed on the first merit list. These students should:

• Download their admission forms from 28 June 2025
• Contact their assigned colleges to complete the admission process
