460,706 Students Pass National University Honours Admission Test 2024–2025

In a significant academic update, the National University of Bangladesh has announced the results of the Honours first-year admission test for the 2024–2025 academic session. A total of 460,706 students have successfully passed the test.

Test Reintroduced After Nearly a Decade

This year’s admission test was held on 31 May 2025 across nearly 300 centres nationwide. It marked the return of entrance exams for Honours programs after almost 10 years.

Result Highlights

Out of 560,595 candidates who appeared in the exam:

  • 460,706 students passed (Pass mark: 35%)
  • 33.28% scored above 50%
  • 66.72% scored below 50%

First Merit List Announced

A total of 265,364 candidates have been placed on the first merit list. These students should:

  • Download their admission forms from 28 June 2025
  • Contact their assigned colleges to complete the admission process

University Officials Present

The results were formally announced by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A S M Amanullah. Also present at the press conference:

  • Pro Vice-Chancellors Professor Md. Lutfor Rahman and Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam
  • Treasurer Professor Dr. A T M Jaforul Azam
  • Faculty deans, the registrar, controller of examinations, and senior officials
